Advising
Advising at NICC
What is Advising? Why is it important?
At NICC we want to make sure you have all the support behind you to succeed! In order to reach your degree, you are assigned two advisors to help guide you through your degree plan and adjust based on your student needs. These two advisors are your personal support on your educational journey, and are the experts on the degree program and campus resources.
Advising is an essential part of your student journey, because it provides guidance, check-ins, and connects to resources. Students who communicate with their advisors are more likely to have the tools they need to succeed and earn their degree.
What's the difference between Advisors?
- Your Faculty Advisor is your "NICC's Degree Program Expert"
- Your Student Service Advisor is your "NICC Campus Expert" on all things student-related.
