This Procurement Technical Assistance Center is funded in part through a cooperate agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency
Who we are: We are a procurement technical assistance center program and the host agency is NICC. What we do: We provide professional technical assistance and training specific to the Native American Business’s needs. Why we do what we do. We provide our services to Native American business to help economic change and growth. When we do what we do: We work to meet with you, the business, when it is convenient for you. Where we do what we do: We have counselors and staff who will meet with you on the Santee and Omaha reservations and in the rural and urban areas of Nebraska. How we do what we do: We can meet 1:1 (face to face), through email, on the phone and virtually (through TEAMS or Zoom). |
What we can we do for you the Native American Businesses who want to sell products and services to federal, state, and/or local governments. We are here to provide support to help the small business owner to understand the process and how to get where they want to be with procurement.
- Determine if your business is ready for government contracting.
- Help you register in the proper places.
- See if you are eligible I any small business certifications.
- Search past contract opportunities.
- Our service area: The Santee Sioux Nation and Omaha Nation on both reservations in Nebraska, including Native American businesses that are located outside of those reservations
- Who is eligible:
- Native American Businesses
- Tribal Enterprises
- Native American businesses must 51% owned.

PTAP Connecting Businesses to Government
- First step is to complete a client intake form, as tracking mechanism in obtaining and securing key information to better provide the best services to you the business. You can find the Client Intake form link below for your convenience.
- The second step is to set up a meeting with a counselor to obtain more detailed information in planning goals for what you want in better prepared for obtaining local, county, state, and/or federal contracts.
- Conduct an assessment with you on your business, and to help you – the business owner to create a plan with goals.
