My name is Cheryl Phillips, and I am the Santee Librarian and GED Tutor at NICC's Santee campus. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. After graduating, I worked for Cherokee Nation in Muskogee, Oklahoma for two years, then spent the next seven years living in South Korea and travelling. Currently, I am working towards a Master of Library and Information Science degree and Graduate Certificate of Archival Studies through Louisiana State University's online campus. I am pursuing this degree because I feel that the best way for me to build up my people and create a prosperous future is through information literacy and cultural preservation.
