My name is Viji Rajasekar, and I am the Education Division Head at NICC. I started my teaching career in 1989 while pursuing a master’s degree in commerce and business administration. Having taught at a university for seventeen years, I decided to get my master’s in special education in 2015. Whether it is through teaching a young scholar how to write in cursive or teaching principles of management to university students, I can attest that there is nothing quite like the feeling of helping curious minds pursue their intellectual passions. As a paraeducator/pre-teacher education division head at NICC, I seek to enable a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for Native American students to achieve their educational and career goals.
